Warm-Up 1 asks you to write a personal presentation for a web site. This is a general message that goes out to everyone who visits the web site of the new company you've just got a job with. I.e. it needs to be informative, but a bit general - and a good piece of advertising for your new employer. In other words, you need to show how smart your new employer is for hiring you!

When hiring me the company got a hard working person who is interested in developing the company’s international contacts. I have a past career in sales which has taught me the importance of being service minded. The service mindedness is one of the corner stone’s of this company, for which it is widely known. I look forward to contributing to this reputation.
In addition to my knowledge in sales I have a substantial knowledge in French which will come in handy since the company is facing a launch of our products on the European market. The French market is very strong and my French skills give us an advantage in comparison to other competing firms. At the moment I am in England to finish my law degree and learn Business English. Aiming to become a large international firm it is crucial to be able to communicate in a professional way. I will be back to start work at the beginning of 2011 and I look forward to proving to the board of the company that they were right in hiring me.

I have a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and I did take my master examination in Leadership and Management in June 2010. While I was a student did I work a lot as a sales man in a call-centre, and I was also responsible for some interesting projects in the same company. This was my first contact whit project management and the biggest reason to why I want to be a project manager in a global company.
When hiring me the company may be sure of they get a disciplined, structured and a hardworking person. I always perform the best I can to complete the tasks and projects I have.
I am glad, positive, reliable and careful person. One thing I like with me, and my employers like with me is that I am always open for new challenge and I really like to work in team.
In my spare time do I like to spend my time with my family and friends. And when I have to relax do I often go to the coast for a little fishing trip.

ReplyDeleteBorn 1990 and raised in Farjestaden, I have work experience from most phone job, I have in the last year been working for Apoteket AB and my task assignment have been very basic information about Apoteket AB. Apart from that I do also help my Grandma once a week with tasks to do where she lives, Cleaning, reparations and such things. Also I am cleaning at my fathers company once a week.
I am a very active person who likes challenges and varying working tasks, I do well working in a group but do as well working by my self. When I get a task that do matter and when I feel that it is important I put my whole self into it and I don’t quit until it’s done.
On my spare time I put a lot of my time into training and to keep my body in fit. I like the feeling to feel good about my self. Also I spend time with my family and friends and trying as well as I can to make the best out of the day.
I also love sports, I did play both football and floorball for a few years ago, but today I am coaching a floorball team in Farjestaden and do enjoy football from my couch.

ReplyDeleteAfter graduating Lund University where I obtained a Master Degree in Public Relations and Sales, I started my career in the forest industry as a trainee for the leading Chinese forest company Bamboo in Shanghai. The last five years, I have served as the Assistant Business Manager and later on the Business Manager of Polstjärnan Trä AB. Under my management the company managed several high profile contracts and steadily met its goal with a quarterly 2 % growth. I am very much looking forward to take up my new challenge at Påryd Projekering AB and with Abraham Lincoln’s words in mind, I have no intention to fail.
I have recently turned 35 and is living a busy life with my husband and two sons. Family and friends takes up most of my sparetime. If I get a chance I love to watch a Premier League game, play a round of golf or hit the slopes for alpine skiing. To relax I go for a run, and this past weekend I participated in the Stockholm Half Marathon which has been a set goal for me.

My recent position has been as Customer Manager within the Language Education sector and it has taken me to several fantastic destinations around the world. Tourist Guide, Skiing Instructor and Event Manager are other previous positions.

My name is Caroline Dickson. I was born the 25th of august 1985. Because I am a girl that are curious to learn new things and meet new people I took a break from my Swedish high school in 2003 and went with Rotary Youth Exchange to South Africa. My year in South Africa gave me an eye opening and friends all over the world. In 2006 did I start a new journey at Kalmar University were I later took a bachelor in marketing and economics. From the age of 14 Louise Torstensson has been working as a waitress at one of the Guide Michelin restaurants in Stockholm, which improved her social skills. After graduation she moved to Växjö for studying economics at the Linnaeus University, which so far is a really good and instructive education. My name is Amanda Lidström and I am a 19 year old girl from Umeå in Sweden. I graduated from a nature and science program at High school in June this year and after that I moved to Oslo in Norway. Along with thousands of other young Swedes I moved to the wealthier and better paying neighboring country with the dream of making a lot of money. I´m now working as much as I possibly can as a waitress at a restaurant called Folk. The plan is to save enough money to be able to go on a three month long journey along with a friend to see The Seven Wonders of the World.

From my earlier experiences of running my own hotel business here in Sweden I have a deep insight in tourism. I have plenty of refreshing proposals. Thanks to my Master’s degree in management but probably mostly for my passion and commitment, I feel certain about how we together can turn my ideas into reality, to satisfy the tourism in Västervik and our company’s future.
As much as I appreciate hard work I enjoy the time for leisure once in a while. I have a special interest in Egyptian and Chinese archaeology which I do a lot of reaserch in. If I get the opportunity to practice this while sailing, which is my second biggest interest and our family hobby, it is to my total satisfaction.

ReplyDeleteI am 30 years old and I have been interested in tourism for a long time. I am born and breed in Västervik and I think it is a beautiful town.
My interest for tourism started when I was a teenager and I went overseas with my family for the first time. I saw all the beautiful buildings and scenery and I decided that I wanted to learn more about tourism. When I was 18 I travelled around the world, and I loved it, but it also made me more curious about my own country and town.
Once I came back from travelling I studied tourism at Kalmar University for three years and my big project work was about tourism in Västervik. When I had finished my degree I started working at Västerviks turistbyrå (Västervik’s tourist agency) and I have been working there until now.

My name is Britt-Marie Ohlsson, and since 1st September 2010, I am the new Business Manager at The Västervik Experience.
I was born in South of Sweden 1976, and lived in a small town called Hässleholm until I recently moved to Västervik for my new job.
I have been studing to Master of Business Administration and Economics at the University of Lund and later to Master of Education for the Upper Secondary School in economic subjects in Malmö.
I have lately worked in an international company, Perstorps AB, where I worked a lot with Costumer Service and Marketing. This gave me a lot of experiences in communication and understanding for people from different cultures.
As teacher I work a lot every day with accounting, marketing and leadership.
My job as a Business Manager at The Västervik Experience give me the challenge to work hardly to convince the Chinese investors that Västervik, with it´s beautiful archipelago and countryside, has a great potential for benefits and profits for them.

ReplyDeleteSince I migrated to Sweden, I have invested my time on learning Swedish and attaining a Master’s degree, which took me approximately six years. I enjoy midday meals with my husband and savour the taste of culture at the local Greek, Turkish, and Thai restaurants in the city. My computer is almost full of photos that I have taken from our trips to known European cities. What I would really love to do is to pursue my dream of travelling to exotic places like Mongolia, Nepal, and India before I turn forty; I suppose I still have a lot of time to make this into a reality. Aside from travelling and experiencing different cultures, I have a passion for films.

Having spent three years in the States as a marketing assistant for Abba Cooperation, my knowledge for the fine mechanics development is very well explored.

The people that knows me personally say I always strive to achieve better accomplishments, whether it is in building on the family summer house, in baking sour-bread for my husband and our children or deeply concentrated in a TED-story on how to develop better strategies for a long-lasting environmental friendly consumption, both in industrial and every day-life.

Påryd Projektering is proud to present our new marketing manager, ms. Anna Sjödin. Ms. Sjödin have a wide background within marketing and leading companies from basic profits to success. Stubborn as she is, she have fulfilled a Swedish Classic and is now aiming to climb up Mount Everest 2011. ReplyDeleteI have a Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Stockholm. The first five years after my graduation I worked as an Account Manager for a company in Sales and Management Training. I then got the opportunity to have may own consulting company. I mainly got in engaged with small and medium-sized businesses that had the goal to expand their operations. I have spent the last two years abroad with my family. We have been residing in Canada where my husband has had the opportunity to work temporarily.
I’m back in Sweden and very excited to have the opportunity to be involved in Pyråd Projektering.
As a person I am a very strong developer who sees opportunities. I also have an ability to organize and establish efficient working methods. Those are the two focuses I’ll have when I am getting started with the Chinese Contract. My experiences of sales and my knowledge from my time as a consultant will also be very useful.
As a person I am a devoted golfer and I share that interest with my family. We have a small cottage on Öland where we like to spend the summer.

ReplyDeleteI was born 1975 in France. I earned my master in business development in London where I worked for five years in favor of SmallCompany as a project assistant. I moved to Greece for 3 years, to collaborate with MediumCompany as a new product developer. In both companies I earned the prize of employee of the year 5 times. Now being new in the family of Påryd Projektering with my skills of cooperation, determination for success, ability to discover innovative techniques/products and willingness to stay in this beautiful country for a long time, with my wife and recently born son, will contribute to raise the company into, even, higher levels of prosperity. In my free time I follow the news for technological inventions and the Formula 1 races.
My name is Elin Arnsvik and I was born in 1985 in Stockholm, Sweden. I have a bachelor’s degree in economics with specialization in marketing from Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden. I have got the opportunity to lead the Västervik Experience to new triumphs. I am very grateful for it and I want to thanks Åsa Sjödin for giving me this opportunity.
ReplyDeleteSince I was 18 years old, I worked extra in a supermarket, ICA, which has given me a great experience to meet and talk to with different people. Traveling is a great interest for me, and I also like to meet new people. During my studies I was studying for five months in Estonian Business School in Tallinn. It was a wonderful time and I got the chance to improve my English skills and I met new people from different places in the world. Many of these people are still my friends. As a person I am ambitious, responsible and I am a positive person who often work with a smile. I always try to view life and other things on the positive side more than the negative. I like to challenge myself to do new and exciting things and afterwards I am happy that I did it.
I am looking forward to be part of the Västervik Experience and I think we will have a good time together and for me it's an opportunity to develop the company to future success.

Born 1987 in Pori, Finland. At the age of two moved to Russia where he completed his elementary education. His 13th birthday was celebrated in Sweden, Gothenburg where he have lived due this date.
While living in Japan, Dmitriy worked as the head software architect for the Jimamoto Corporation developing the new pencil sharpner robot. At present, working as the project manager for the Ericsson in Gothenburg.

To strengthen our market position we have employed our new Marketing Engineer.
Nathalie Andersson is half French Swedish and is originally from Stockholm, born in 1966.
In 2004 she was appointed General Manager with the SMB segment of Dell Computers in Singapore. When she started, Dell was ranked 13th in Singapore according to IDC in this segment. When she left one year ago they had elevated to the 2nd position. Dell has been very pleased with her work over years and she has proven her ability in project planning, marketing and successful business development.
Before joining Dell Mrs. Andersson was a chemical engineer, conducting nuclear waste disposal research for AREVA Tricastin from 1998 to 2003. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Luleå University of Technology and a MBA from Harvard University.
It’s a great pleasure for us to have Mrs Andersson on our team at Alsjöholm Mekaniska Verkstad and we have absolute confidence in her ability to help us to reach the success we are aiming for in the years ahead.

I am Mature，dynamic. One of my hobbies is travelling, I love to organize the whole trip including accommodation and routes and interests. Travelling all around can help me understand culture better. Also travelling enhances a better communication skill, since we should communicate with various people we did not know. This is a requirement for market researcher.
I believe people can manage everything that they want. Success comes from dreams, dreams contributes to hope. Some people would always compare with others to see if they get progress, but to me, I do think the barrier is we, so the importance is to break myself, try something new.

My name is Alex Lindberg. I was born in Stockholm in 1986 and have lived in different cities both in Sweden and in foreign countries during my growing up years.
I have a master degree of business from Uppsala University with special studies in entrepreneurial behavior in third world countries.
My business background is as founder of miner e-trade company, founder of a recruitment agency and recently as sales manager at an internet advertisement company.
In my spare time I like travel, far away or close by. I have visited all world continents on which I have met many interesting people, tasted exotic food and experienced the most unusual rituals and cultures. In the summertime I enjoy a bit of golf or some fishing.
As an entrepreneur I have learned to discover business opportunities everywhere and never to stop asking whether your taking advantage of every opportunity. Hi, My name is He Maoqi, I come from Ningbo China, in addition to Chinese I can speak fluent English and a little Swedish.
I am crazy about travelling and I have been to many places in both China and north Europe. I had been a part time guide when I was studying in the Ningbo University. I had successfully led more than 20 groups of travelers (30 on average per group) which include both domestic and foreign groups, that made me clearly understand what the clients need and how to deliver the best service.
I hold a degree of B.S in Computer Science and Technology from Ningbo University (2000-2004), and hold a degree of M.S in Computer Embedded Systems from Kristianstad University, Sweden (2004-2005).

Rawna was appointed as Marketing Engineer- Alsjöholm Mekaniska AB in September 2010. She started her career in the gas and oil sector in United Arab Emirates and Sweden, and held various positions. Prior to joining Alsjöholm Mekaniska AB she was working at Gulf Gases for several years as Marketing Engineer.
Rawna is a mountain climbing lover. In 2009 she climbed the famous Mount Olympus. When she is not traveling for mountain climbing she enjoys being with her family.

In 2008 I spent a summer in San Francisco taking Modeling and Design of Organizations at Stanford University.
My experiences make me a perfect candidate to develop Påryd Projektering and take the company into the future. I have a new and fresh perspective of how to accomplish good results in Project Leadership and know how to implement them in an effective way.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Sofia Malmer and I am the new Marketing Manager of the Västervik Experience from October 11th.
I was born in Gothenburg in 1974 and grew up on Tjörn, an island north of Gothenburg. Since a few years now, I live in Stockholm.
Since I have experience from both international marketing and event management, I believe I can contribute with new ideas and also with my positive drive to the Västervik Experience.
The condensed version of my CV is as follows:
- Master in tourism management at Gothenburg University 1999
- Started working in the dynamic marketing team at Love Gothenburg (the Official Tourism Bureau of Gothenburg Community) for 4 years, where the job description was to attract international visitors to Gothenburg.
- In May, 2003, I was employed as marketing assistant at a Japanese company, DST, who are manufacturing industrial dehumidifiers for customers in Asia and Europe.
- Since September 2006, I have been focusing on event marketing, as Key Account Manager at Get Together Event AB in Stockholm.
When I was 19, I lived in Paris for 6 months so I also speak rather good French.
I spend my leisure time with my family; my husband and my 8 months old son. Having grown up on an island on the Swedish west coast, I’m into several nautical sports and I just really enjoy being by the sea, be it east or west coast!

Petra recently graduated from the Marketing Programme at Linneaus University in Växjö. She is now joining our team as the new Business Director at the Västervik Experience. During her studies, she had the opportunity to study one semester abroad in South Africa. Apart from studying Management and Communication courses, Petra participated in a Volunteer Programme at the township of Kayamandi , helping High School students with their homework and also come up with activities for them to focus on after School. This experience taught Petra how important it is to help, support and develop projects in rural areas.
Petra is a committed team player, with proven ability to meet and exceed set goals and develop new ways for solutions. She is ambitious and hardworking, committed to excellence.
Petra has during her working carrier been working within the tourism sector both as a tour leader in Austria and as a Marketing Assistant at Rydges hotel in Sydney, Australia.
